The Fertile Feminine:
Female physiology, feminine energetics and the rhythms of creation
About the speaker:
After working myself into burnout in the middle of Covid, I was left feeling at a total loss with my body. Unable to make it past noon without wanting to get into bed, deeply tired yet head buzzing, my body and my mind were at an impasse. I was 25 years old.
When things got bad enough, I quit work, left the overstimulating city I was living in, and became deeply curious about the body. Learning female physiology became another map of nature’s cycles in action, and borne from this understanding was a deep reverence for the female process. A process that many of us long ignore in the name of productivity, yet one that eventually calls upon our return in illness, age, or emotional or spiritual duress.
Nutrition in the context of female physiology honors the body’s seasons and needs. It does not seek to control, but to listen. It grants us the tools to birth a new way of relating to one’s body, and therefore one’s self, in love and in health.
